Webhelp, a leading global customer experience BPO player, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Faes as CEO of the UK to further spearhead growth in the region. Benjamin, whose experience includes 13 years at Google and CEO of AOL France, was VP of Global Sales and Marketing at Webhelp prior to his promotion.

Benjamin has had a pivotal role at crucial moments in the evolution of digital transformation, from playing a key part of Google’s acquisition of YouTube, to driving AOL’s transition from an ISP into both an online publisher and a premium ad network.

At Webhelp, Benjamin’s mission will be to further augment the business’s market leading position as a provider of customer experience to more than 1,350 of the world’s biggest brands. His remit will be both regional and global, as he will continue to oversee global marketing, and work with the senior exec team at Webhelp to deliver even better customer journeys.

Benjamin succeeds David Turner, who after 14 years in the role is moving to take on the role of Executive Vice President Strategic Projects for the Webhelp Group.

Webhelp Group CEO Olivier Duha said, “Benjamin’s experience with leading technology businesses is hugely valuable to Webhelp’s ongoing investment in tech-enabled solutions for clients. As UK Region CEO, he will help our clients transform their CX operations and deliver game-changing customer journeys. His global experience of embedding emergent technologies within businesses is a must-have for any organisation targeting growth.”

Benjamin Faes, UK CEO at Webhelp, added, “As CEO of the UK Region, I will be focused on delivering operational excellence and delighting our UK and global clients, with operations and partnerships they can really trust. I’m looking forward to leading our talented teams in further championing the power of excellent CX design and delivery, as a means of helping businesses navigate current market turbulence and delivering future growth.”

Ok, no problem we thought, we will sit and have a drink. About an hour went by, and no sign of our room, but plenty of other guests arriving and being checked in. Beginning to get a bit annoyed, I went to enquire. I thought I’d try the self-service check in, but they had all been switched off. What’s the point of having self-service check in terminals, if you’re going to switch them off, and make your guests queue outside?
