Creating an Alignment Between Purpose & Outcomes.
We created Custerian after more than 20 years running large functions in some of the UK’s largest companies. Often working in challenging environments facing significant need to change, quickly and occasionally fundamentally.
Throughout this time, we grew to feel the way change, up to and including transformation programs, happened was flawed, because they often failed to engage the energy of the existing Colleagues.
A lot is made of ‘burning platforms’ & ‘change programs’ but for us this missed the most obvious point – If you can create a sense of common purpose, that Colleagues feel they can contribute to, then move at pace, dramatic outcomes can be delivered quickly.
In our view Colleagues are often excluded from creating change because they might object or become problematic. Even when this change may require less or different people in the future.
Our approach is simple: We do change WITH and not TO Colleagues.
